Just an average day for an average man in a shockingly green sweater vest. I’ve been shamelessly browsing through Bing Maps and enjoying the bird’s eye view feature. Perhaps the greatest joy of not making photographs is tracing the places where I used to make photographs. Twisted and torturous, I know. Anyway, the above image is one of my favorite “awkward” public spaces. It is a pair of small, well-tended green spaces located in the center of the George Washington Bridge on/off ramps. If you get a chance to travel that far north on Manhattan Island, I highly recommend exploring the area. The Inwood Hills forest is the last bit of natural tree growth in the city.
